We’ve been working out at Camp Chyoca for a month now! This was our first “weekend” (mmm 36 hours) off and I am feeling so full and grateful. I totally see why God commands us to rest. We NEED it. Sabbath is so dang important. During the camp months we do it as best we can, but after camp I really look forward to setting something into place that our family can practice and do each week. Our friends the Bethkes talk about it a lot on their instagrams and podcast, and John Mark Comer talks about it in his book Garden City if you want to learn more about what that can look like. I personally found it so interesting and fascinating yet simple and commanded by God.
We spent our Saturday sipping coffee, eating pizza, and having such good conversations with friends and family at John Luke’s grandmother’s pool.
This morning we went to church where they were honoring the camp staff and praying over us. They went on to honor John Luke’s grandmother who has been out at camp for 50 years and serves so hard and so well.
I randomly grabbed this dress this morning out of my closet and was determined to wear it despite shrinking it 2 years ago in the dryer. I was able to stretch it back to its normal length over the past 2 years, but have struggled with the arms haha, but I just love it too much to get rid of it! These shoes and this bag are two of my favorite things for this summer. I’ve never had these kind of shoes (I guess mules?) and I really like them because I feel like they look a little nicer than sandals, andddd I really need to paint my toes ha. The shoes are from Roolee and although these are almost sold out, they have lots of other similar styles that are super cute. I’ll link them below. This purse is from Able and you guys might remember I did a giveaway with them last fall! Maybe it’s time for another?!
I hope you guys have a wonderful week! If you missed my Instagram post from today I’d love for you to check it out! Its right here. I left a blessing there and a prayer over all of you!
You are so adorable! I love this style of post, where you just talk about the day. How did you stretch out your shrunk dress? Need a strategy for my shrunk dresses!
