McEacharn Beach Trip 2018

Well a lot of pictures in this post, but a lot of people I love and lots of memories I want to hang on to!

This trip was really special.

My dad’s father passed away the year before I was born and my grandmother passed away when I was 11 years old. I think when you lose the patriarch and matriarch of your family it makes it a little more difficult to get everyone together. We see each other a couple of times a year, but it was SO fun to actually live in a big house together for a few days!

Plus, some of my cousins have babies now and it was so sweet to get to love on them. Teagon was in absolute heaven having all the little cousins to play with!

It was a relaxing few days. Lots of talks in the house, playing down on the beach with all the little ones.

We went to church at Florabama because one of our family friends is involved there and it was such a good service. If you’re ever in the Gulf Shores area on Sunday you ought to check it out. Such a cool ministry they have going on there.

Lately I have really been wanting to ride in a helicopter because I had never been in one and on the morning of our last day there my Dad asked if we wanted to go find a helicopter- I was like “yes! how did you know?!” Then we went and found one and went up! It was so much fun!

Other than church and the helicopter ride, we really didn’t do much and it was sooo nice. Just a lot of good family time. 🙂

Mary Kate, thank you for sharing, your family radiates the same kindness and light-heartedness that you do in all your photos! My husband and I are both college students who were married young, and that’s just one of the reasons I identify with and love your blog so much!
I would love to read a post about what’s next for you and John Luke, how you make big life decisions together based on what God is leading you to do, and advice on trusting in Him during seasons of change.
