With wedding season upon us, my mother-in-love’s skincare line has some sales going on and I thought “what a better time to share some of my skincare routine with you than now?!” I’ve also had quite a few of you wanting to see our house, so I thought “what a better time to show a bit of our house than now?!”
So here ya go:
Naturmetic x Robertson Cabin Bathroom
To go and tell you a little about our house…
After moving to Lynchburg to start at Liberty in the Fall of 2015 we were in AirBnB’s and with friends for a good 6 months while we waited for our house to get finished. It was a long and kind of crazy 6 months, but it was WORTH it. You have no idea how happy it makes me that I can say that now. One of my favorite parts of our house is our bathroom. I am all about a good lill’ bathroom. Especially a clawfoot tub. My grandmother had one at her house that my mom would bathe me in when I was itty bitty. There was a season I outgrew baths because I thought they were babyish I guess, but now its rare if a day goes by without a bubble bath. I was reading an interview by Emma Watson the other day and she said “Nothing bad happens while you’re in the bath.” Yes, Emma, yes. So when we were building a house that was one of the only things that I just really wanted.
So one staple: baths. Bubble baths.
Second staple: Naturemetic.
If you follow me or any of the other girls in my family on instagram you’ve probably seen us post about Naturmetic. Naturmetic is a skincare line that my mother-in-law Korie is the spokesperson for. When I promote something on my instagram or on my blog its got to be something that I really believe in and use, and I think I speak for my whole family on that one. I always try to be super real and honest with all of you, and I carry that over into products or things that I promote.
Well Naturmetic is something that I think every girl in my family is using right now. Me, my mom, John Luke’s mom, all of John Luke’s sisters, John Luke’s grandmother, and his great-grandmother. Its seriously that good.
I’ve never had the greatest skin. Its not terrible, but its not great. And it’s not that I don’t take care of it or lack of trying. I can’t remember the last time I went to bed without washing my face. I LOVE taking my makeup off and washing my face. I struggle with being envious of people with good skin who don’t even have to try haha. But I’ve tried so many products. From drug-store products to dermatologist products, I’ve tried a lot. Lately Audrey Roloff (love her, check out her Insta and blog!!) posted about the app “Think Dirty” and I’m kind of obsessed with it. It rates all your beauty products and tells you the products and if they’re harmful or not. IT’S INCREDIBLE. Naturmetic of course costs more than your typical drug store cleanser or lotion, but the thing is those drug store products have all kinds of “fillers” in them that are not very good for you. Not just bad for you skin, but bad for you body. Even all the “organic” products are not always great for you. But thats why I love Naturmetic…its so simple and I can trust it.
It brightens and firms your skin and it keeps it safe. If you’ve got sun damage it helps to reverse it and if you’re not there yet, it helps you keep you safe from the sun. It’s also super hydrating. It just gets your skin in good condition.
So I thought I’d share with you how I incorporate it into my skincare routine!!
Incorporate as in, its pretty much all I use haha.
BUT…there are two other things I use along with it.
In the morning, almost right when I wake up, I use the cleanser to wash my face. It just makes me feel clean and fresh and it smells amazing! It smells like oranges and helps to wake me up.
Then I use a witch hazel rose toner. It soothes my face and helps to close my pores before putting on my makeup.
I go back and forth on moisturizing before my makeup. I normally just use moisturizer at night, but realized I need it in the morning too, so it’s just a matter of remembering now haha…working on getting it into my routine! It’s light weight enough it can go under my make-up!
After the day and I’m ready to take my make-up off, I first use coconut oil. That cute little flowerdy jar is an old candle jar that I melted then poured coconut oil into. I used it before, but just started using it again after my sister-in-law recommended it and I love it. It’s so great at getting my mascara off. Coconut oil is kinda amazing for everything.
Then I use my Naturemetic gel cleanser to wash my face and the coconut oil off.
Next is the Naturmetic serum. It’s a little miracle-worker. If you wanted to just try one product at first, its what I would recommend. It feels amazing too.
After a few drops of that I moisturize with the Naturmetic moisturizer. Like I said, super light weight and so, so good.
Then if I’m going to be outside, theres the sunscreen. I don’t use it everyday, but its going to be my best friend while I’m working at camp all summer.
So that’s it! Super easy, super simple, and not a ton of products.
I love it and I’m a person who loves telling other people about things I love haha. So if you want to give it a try I’ve got some codes you can use all the way through May 20th (my b-day woohoo!)

Cool, thanks!
Such a cute bathroom!
Mary-Kate, we share the same birthday!! ??? also love the post ?
My favorite thing about this post was the pictures all along the wall. That’s something I would do, for sure, ha, ha. It’s just so much more “real” than fancy photo props. 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing! I’m always on the hunt for sensitive and natural products since my skin freaks out on anything harsh. As others were saying, I’d love to know what makeup you use. In the fall I switched over and on a limb bought mineral make up by Younique but would love to hear what works for you! Also, love your bathroom and baths! That’s where I normally catch up on your blogs!
I’ve just bought the Naturmetic kit! I trust your recommendation and it sounds good so i thought i would give it a try. Thanks for the codes!
I was wondering, what kind of foundation do you use??
RMS uncoverup 22 🙂
I am in love with your bathroom, especially your bathtub, it’s so unique ♥
Does the Naturmetic skincare line help improve acne? I’ve always had not so great skin as well.
