pagosa: part 1

First off, your girl took about a million and one pictures, so we are going to have to split this up into two post haha. And warning: 90% of the photos in this post are of little baby T)
Every year, during some time or another, my side of the family loves to take a trip to my parents cabin in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The first time we traveled there was when I was 7, and the whole family just absolutely fell in love with the quiet little mountain town. We usually go the first of July, but last year JL and I weren’t able to join because we were on our honeymoon! This year we were able to squeeze in a trip in June and we had SO much fun.
SO…crazy story. We were all supposed to fly out of Monroe together early (I mean super early) Saturday morning. Well, Pippa decided to get herself lost in the woods Friday night. JL and I stayed behind to look for her (and praise God we found her) and ended up leaving early (super early) Sunday morning.
These have been our new favorite snacks, and shout-out to Mamma Chia for hooking us up with some goodies whoop whoop!
We got there during the middle of the day and were pretty exhausted so we all just hung up our hammocks and hung out…which was amazing. Even Pippa joined us!

One of the best parts of our vacation was we actually took the time to relax. We did two hikes and one rafting trip (be looking out for post #2) and other than that we just really took it easy!
These two are so funny together. They have such a love/ hate relationship. For the most part they love each other, but every now and then Pippa wants to play tug-of-war, and then Teagon will just terrorize her because…well he’s 2.

One of our favorite things to do while in town is to hit up the Humane Society thrift shop. You can find the coolest stuff…like:
40 National Graphic magazines for $7. (JL’s obsessed)
or for me- mystery books ๐Ÿ™‚

Pippa and Teagon were playing and was just too cute/ funny!
Teagon NEVER likes pictures, so this was actually a miracle.
Then Dad and T were matching so we had to get a few pictures. Again…this is a miracle.

JL was in the middle of what turned out to be a 6-hour nap, and we decided to take a little stroll through the neighborhood. It was probably the prettiest time of the whole day.

I’ve been reading a book lately (more to come on that) and its truly just been opening my eyes to how God has SO much in store for us and we have SO much power in Him. Every day is a new day where He has so many blessings in store! He wants to give us joy, we just have to be focused enough receive it. During this trip I just had a lot of time to think about that and try and practice that. I can’t wait to read more and share more with you guys.
I’m also excited to share the second half of this trip with you guys!
Hiking and rafting and some fun little adventures. ๐Ÿ™‚

Our dog has never flown with us before, but I briefly looked into it and the rules slightly overwhelmed me. Do you have any tips for flying with a pup?
