so tuesday mom and baby t dropped me off at the airport where I met up with these cool cats. then along with some family, we were off to vegas to see the Duck Commander Musical. (my last time being in vegas was when I was 6 weeks old haha.) it really is the best when your fiancé has a lot of siblings, especially when they’re these guys…it makes life so much fun! our flights consisted of fruit ninja, comparing our “future kids’ names” lists, and me, Rebecca, and Bella holding hands and trying not to look out the window as the pilot landed us in some intense winds. we survived. thank the Lord!
John Luke had left the week before to make a trip to san francisco so we were all excited to see him waiting for us at the airport! (I may or may not have been the most excited). when we were picking up our bags at baggage claim it was so cool to see the biggest screen with the family advertising for the musical! how crazy is that?!
wednesday morning we tried to cram in a little shopping and lunch at miracle mile mall, but we mostly spent the day getting ready for the night.
#camocarpetselfie
who would have thought my first red carpet event would actually be a camo carpet?!
can we all please just take a moment to admire my man…. #hot
the musical was absolutely incredible. it completely blew my mind and exceeded anything I could ever have imagined. so much hard work was put into that by so many people. I am so proud of my future mama-in-law and dad-in-law for what all they have gone through and accomplished. such an amazing message is conveyed and I just wish EVERYONE could see it…it’ll make you laugh and it’ll make you cry, and you will walk out of there singing all of the songs, but then you’ll be a little sad when you realize you still don’t have the voice of Ginna Claire or any of the other actors haha.
front row seats with my sadie mae
and our friend Bob surprised us!
it’s also super convenient when your best friends are also family and you get to have so many fun experiences together. we love our squad. (we miss you kelly)
now I’m back home looking back at these past few days and I am so thankful for experiences like these. it’s a lot of fun getting dressed up and glammed up and getting to walk a red, excuse me “camo” carpet, but whats really the best is getting to experience this with the people you love. thats what makes it so special and thats what makes me so happy looking at these pictures…they are filled with people who mean so much with their faces beaming with happiness and love. and we’re just getting to live life together!
How awesome is that! So cool to see your posts and how the Lord has moved and how He continues to move in the life of yourself and your future family! Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding. I'm recently engaged and the planning is just so fun! Praying God's most abundant blessings on your new endeavor with John Luke. #thelittleduckwife
So wonderful! Like yourself, I am also young and getting married this coming summer. God truly grows a relationship when undergoing such changes. Many new adventures on the horizon! With saying that, I also recently started a blog called "Ere Myself." It is so exciting to share the joys of our endeavors with our friends and family. Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding, I hope the best for you two. Praying!
Your blog already looks so professional!!! Love it:) I look forward to reading all of your posts!! Becca here's my blog if you want to check it out: http://www.beccahasfaith.blogspot.com
Can I just start and say you are awesome. Thanks for starting this blog, and I look forward to the day I meet you (If there ever is one). Scrolling through and seeing all your 'new' famiky has accomplished and done is awesome, but to see how close ya'll are is incredible. It reminds me how blessed I am with my family And hopefully my future husbands. You truly have a platform now to shout God's love and mercy and forgiveness to the world. Who knows if you even read these comments? I dont know! This may turn into rambling, but you have the power to make a difference. You have a voice and you're being heard. Keep doing what you're doing! I will say that you were able to articulate beautifully in this piece and hope you continue to right about the adventures unfolding in the next couple months. I look forward to reading them.
Congrats on the blog and upcoming marriage ? Maybe we will run into one another at Liberty University next semester. My hubs and I are at college there now. John Luke's testimony in convo was a very good reminder of Gods goodness.
I love this! 🙂
I'm excited to read more of your posts! Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!
Love this! Especially how you incorporate the fact that it's God first and family second -the rest falls into place, right? 🙂
