We spent 6 days this past week in Maui and goodness was it refreshing or what! I am truly so grateful we had the opportunity to go. We’ve been traveling a lot lately and still have got a few more places we’re headed over the next 2 months. Some trips are vacations and others are more work-related, but both are so good. John Luke’s job right now gives us the opportunity to travel for some parts of the year. For 3 months in the summer it’s pretty much camp 24/7. He has parts of some Saturdays off, but he’s literally got to be available pretty much 24/7. But for the rest of the year, a lot of his work is done through his computer and by phone and can be done anywhere. So right now we’re getting some traveling in before we’re planted for the summer! To be honest, we’re both (especially me) home-bodies. Haha in fact, when we have been home this past month I’ve barely left my house.
Our time in Maui truly was so sweet. My parents sent us for a graduation gift and I’m really thankful for that week. We told our sweet friends, The Gees, that we were coming to town and they so graciously offered us their house. (If you are not following them on Instagram or YouTube you have GOT to! They are some of the neatest and also kindest people!) We spent several days at their place and actually spent half our time their hanging out inside reading, working, and watching Netflix. We got really burnt the first day (amateur move) there so it kind of forced us to stay inside which ended up being really restful and refreshing.
Ok this food may look so gross but it was SO good. We had it our first day there and I craved it for the rest of the trip. It’s from a grocery store called Mana in Paia and they have a little food bar in there with hot meals and also a really nice salad bar.
We read a lot, ate a lot, and watched a lot of surfing. It was perfect.
Cute pics! I was wondering if you are planning on getting a job now that you are in Louisiana or doing social media/staying at home? I don’t mean to be rude, I am honestly just curious as I know a lot of my friends are going through the job search process right now and I think it’s interesting to hear different perspectives
I don’t see that as rude at all! For now social media is my job and I feel so blessed that I am able to do that because it gives me so much flexibility. I love the idea of being home especially whenever we have kids someday. 🙂
MK!

Hawaii is my favorite. I so love when different people I follow on social media are friends in real life. I’ve followed the Gees for so long. It’s fun to hear that behind the scenes y’all are friends and that they are so hospitable. Thanks for sharing! I love following you on Instagram. You are so sweet and have a wonderful way with words. ❤️
