Lil’ Hawaiian Dress

We are still on our little trip and I’m trying to stay off my computer a bit, but I had a lot of comments asking about my dress so just wanted to y’all know 🙂

(also, since being in Hawaii I’ve been so self-conscious about using the word “y’all” , but it is just a big part of my vocab and its hard to cut haha, so I’m sticking with it)

This may be the worst outfit post ever though because I think mostly everything I have on is no longer sold, but if you are determined like I usually am when it comes to clothes, theres always Poshmark to check which is actually where I found a piece that I have on.

This outfit came together when all my other clothes were wrinkled, and I had a dress that I couldn’t wear without something under it, and a top I couldn’t wear without something over it. BUT…put them together and…wa-lah!

My “dress” is from Free People and is actually a size large shirt ha! I’ve hated being short many a times, but many a times my short legs have allowed me to wear things I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to pull off. I found it at Belk in Jackson a few weeks ago on sale and right now online I can’t find this exact color (except on Poshmark maybe) but it’s still sold in other colors.

Check it out here: Purple Haze Tunic

Underneath is a Free People ribbed crop top I found once again on…Poshamark ha. No longer sold but kinda like a brami I guess.

After putting those two together though I had one more milestone to tackle and that was hoping my friend Linda Claire had a belt. The “dress” was not only a shirt but a high-low shirt haha, so I needed something to hold it down in the front. Shout-out to her mother-in-law, Mrs. Eva, for sending a belt with her for “just-in-case.” Tied it in a little knot I used to do in middle school.

And then my shoes are Madewell that I am wearing in almost all my pictures. They are the BEST.

Shoes: Madewell The Boardwalk Lace-Up

My necklace is from my dad’s pharmacy. My mom’s got a gift shop in there with some awesome jewelry. If you’re ever on I-20 in Louisiana and you see a sign for Delhi, go check out E.W. Thomson drug. We’ve also got the best soda fountain!

That’s all folks! Check out that rad sunset though!!

Y’all are so cute!!! And I’m from California and don’t use the word y’all because I didn’t grow up with it but I love it and find it endearing!! So never stop using it!! And you two are just the cutest!! I’m glad you enjoyed Kawaii if you ever go back definitely consider visiting the big island and going to the state and national parks there because they are ?

Super cute outfit! I was wondering if you could do a blog post about the way you and John Luke eat. I see on Instagram that’s it’s super healthy and I want to eat healthier so I can go out and enjoy the wonderful world God made.
